Is it Blackout for Blackberry India?

It has almost become a part of every Indian Business man’s body. The blackberry that has been such an asset may see its line coming to an end, as the Indian Court will decide its fate. The time line set for Research in Motion (RIM) is August 31st 2010.

The main reason behind attacks on blackberry is because of its encryption system that does not allow governing bodies to intervene and spy through the e-mails and instant messages. So, the Indian government has smelt a rat and suspect that these technological marvels are not only being used by businessmen, but also used by terrorists and other anti-social elements.

There are an estimated 1 million users in the country and the Indian government now wants access in readable format to encrypted blackberry communication.

Blackberry has allegedly put down their guard for US, China and even Saudi Arabia. Will they have to do the same for India?
